Keep a Walking Log
for Your Success

Keep a walking log to note your progress, improve on your consistency and duration, and to make your exercise experience fun and satisfying.

Walking for exercise is ideal and can help us trim down, especially when we use these walking weight loss tips.

Get great insights into your patterns and successes! You can keep a log in addition to your exercise journal or instead of it, but in the beginning keeping separate notes can be very helpful in figuring out what works best for you. Use either journal type in conjunction with your food diary.

An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.
~ Henry David Thoreau

DID I BRING WATER?

TERRAIN (FLAT, HILLY, MIXED, GRAVEL, SAND, ASPHALT):

WHAT AND WHEN DID I EAT BEFORE THE WALK?

HOW DID I FEEL BEFORE THE WALK? DURING THE WALK? AFTER THE WALK?

DID I STRETCH AFTER?

DID I GO FOR FUN, EXERCISE, TO GET SOMEWHERE?

ALONE OR WITH SOMEONE (WHO)?

WHERE DID I WALK TO? WHAT WAS GOOD/BAD ABOUT WHERE I WALKED?

I AM GLAD I WENT?

WHAT WILL I DO DIFFERENTLY NEXT TIME?

Your log can be as simple as a piece of paper or as elaborate as fancy journal. Have fun with it and admire yourself for taking steps (literally!) toward your goals in life.
