>,
I learned something this week that struck me as immediately useful to help us becoming our best selves. So I can't wait to share it with you.
Who is your best self?
For many of us, images and feelings flood our minds. From having created my best self collage and exploring my values I know that my best self is me feeling confident, grounded, fit, trim, strong, courageous, financially successful, etc.
But what's it like day-to-day? I mean, what are the real details?
Try this when you have a few minutes in a waiting room or laying in bed:
Close your eyes and mentally walk through a normal day in your life as your best self living your best life — feeling, looking, thinking, and being her (not perfect and rigid, but whatever feels most loving, free, alive, and fun for you).
Imagine a typical day where you wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast, live your life.
- What do you order on the menu for lunch?
- What does it feel like in your body?
- What do you buy at the grocery store?
- What clothes are you wearing?
- Who do you spend time with?
- How do you feel about yourself?
I've been a fan of creative visualization for years but only learned to apply this technique at this micro level yesterday — and it jumped out as powerful and extremely practical in bringing the more fully alive versions of ourselves into daylight.
It's kind of tricky to create something when we don't know what it really looks like, right?
Plus it's FUN! Give it a try and prepare yourself to embrace living as your best you. It's easier than you think.
Learn more about your best self.
Cheers and Love,
